Richard Bennett, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights

accessing healthcare services.
Bennett said this afternoon (Tuesday, April 7) on the occasion of World Health Day that
restrictions on movement, education, and female workers in the health sector have

Afghanistan through timely response.
However, expressing concern over the high rate of maternal mortality, the organization
added that access to maternal and reproductive health services is a life-saving necessity
in Afghanistan.
