Tajudeen Oyewale, the UNICEF Representative in Afghanistan, says that education is the right of every child, and access to it helps both girls and boys learn, think, and shape their future.
Oyewale wrote this afternoon (Saturday, April 11), quoting 10-year-old Farzana, who dreams of becoming an engineer to help rebuild Afghanistan.
Farzana told Oyewale that by becoming an engineer, she wants to build better roads, hospitals, and schools in Afghanistan.
This comes at a time when girls in Afghanistan are not allowed to continue their education beyond the sixth grade
