At the same time, Ziahuddin Yousafzai, the father of the Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, who visited the sit-in tent in Cologne, says: “I think the apartheid experience in Afghanistan is different, because how they treat with women in Afghanistan is more severe than what is done in Africa against black people.
Malala Yousafzai’s parents, who were present at the Afghan women’s strike tent, called the restrictions imposed by the Taliban on women’s lives in Afghanistan a severe version of apartheid.
Torpikay Yousafzai, Malali’s mother, asked the international community to support the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan, especially the right of education.
In the last two days, the deputy of the German Dusseldorf state parliament and also the representative of the foreign ministry of that country went to the Afghan women’s sit-in tent in the city of Cologne.
They asked for the end of Tamana Zaryab Paryani’s hunger strike and invited her to speak in the state parliament.
