On the second day of the meeting of the UN Human Rights Council, the letter of protesting women of Afghanistan submitted to this council by Parwana Ebrahimkhel.
A number of Afghan women objecting to the Taliban’s single-sex policies have expressed their objection to the Taliban’s approach by sending a letter to the United Nations Human Rights Council meeting.
In this letter, the women criticized the cooperation of a number of countries with the Taliban and called it intolerable.
A part of this letter states: “Two years passed of the lack of rule of law and democracy, political crisis, social and economic crisis and the dominance of Taliban terrorists. War, murders, and illegal trade over the geography and the destinyof more than forty million people in Afghanistan, and during this countless time, unforgivable crimes against women were committed, which the whole world is aware of.”
In this letter, the UN Human Rights Council is asked to recognize gender apartheid in Afghanistan.
In this letter, it is also written: “By sending this letter, we, the protesting women of Afghanistan, request you to show your goodwill towards human principles, including human rights, democracy, rule of law, and social justice as soon as possible, stop your piteous silence and eecognize the life example of the only rule of gender apartheid in the world in the geography of Afghanistan and agree to our right demand.”The protesting women stated in their letter that political prisoners should be released from Taliban prisons, foreign trips of Taliban commanders should be banned and cash aid should not be given to this group.
This is despite the fact that today the hunger strike of a number of Afghan protesting women in Cologne, Germany ended after twelve days
