The Association of Diplomats of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan says that the international community and international organizations are reluctant to recognize gender apartheid in Afghanistan due to political considerations.
This association declared that the rights of women in Afghanistan under the rule of the Taliban group are being violated in an unimaginable way and they are facing an exact gender apartheid.
The Association of Diplomats of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan issued a statement on Tuesday, 12th of September, saying that due to the imposition of the Taliban on the country, the fundamental rights of the Afghan people, especially the rights of women, are seized and women faced all kinds of torture and gender discrimination.
This association added that Afghan women want to achieve their rights in the light of Islamic teachings and fundamental human rights.
This association supported the hunger strike of a number of women’s rights activists outside Afghanistan and asked the international community and the member countries of the Rome Statute to take the necessary legal measures in the field of defining and recognizing gender apartheid in Afghanistan, considering the current conditions of Afghanistan.
After the fall of the republican system, a number of diplomats of the political agencies of Afghanistan outside the country announced that they are not ready to work with the Taliban.
They organized an association called the Association of Diplomats of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
