The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice
of the Taliban in Bamyan asked merchants and businessmen to prevent from entering and selling clothes against Sharia(religion) to women.
In the newsletter of The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, it is stated that the officials of this department warned entering and selling illegal clothes for women in a meeting with merchants and businessmen in Bamyan province.
The officials of this department said that using tight and thin clothes is against Islamic Sharia and wearing short clothes is an imitation of western culture.
They banned the women of this province from wearing this type of clothes.
Covering women is one of the major issues that the Taliban issued many orders in this field and the officials of
Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice supervise its implementation.
