This year at the Berlin World Literary Festival, in addition to the world literature; Afghanistan’s fictional literature was specially addressed.
The Berlin Literary Festival is one of the most important literary festivals in the world, which welcomed more than one hundred writers from all over the world in its 23rd round.
Dr. Homeira Qaderi and Siamak Herawi were invited for the “Night of Tales from Kabul” of this festival.
These two Afghan writers explained the current situation of literature in Afghanistan, and along with it, Homeira Qaderi talked about the living conditions of women under the shadow of the Taliban regime.
Siamak Harwi also explained the content of some of his stories to describe the life of Afghan women.
In the continuation of the program, a part of the book Dancing in the Mosque by Homeira Qaderi and a part of the book Tali Girls by Siamak Harwi were read by a famous German actor, and at the end of the program, both authors read a short part of their book in Persian.
The night of stories from Kabul ended with a book signing party by these two Afghan writers.
