Afghan female athletes criticized the silence of international sports organizations against the Taliban’s ban on women’s sports in Afghanistan.
These athletes say that these bans will have an irreparable setback in the women’s sports community.
These criticisms expressed while 133 male athletes in 17 different sports are going to go to Qatar to participate in the Asian Games at the end of this month.
But, the Taliban, prevented the participation of Afghan female athletes in these competitions.
Before this, the National Olympic Committee of Afghanistan under the administration of the Taliban, in response to the Reuters report about sending female athletes to the Asian Games, told Azadi Radio in a written message that there will be no girls in the composition of dozens of athletes from Afghanistan in the Asian Games.
In the past two years, the Taliban, in addition to imposing other bans on the lives of women in Afghanistan, also banned women and girls from going to stadiums.
