Depriving girls from education is a violation of universal human rights

September 18, 2023
Depriving girls from education is a violation of universal human rights

The international organization (EWC) called for the immediate cancellation of the ban on girls’ education by the Taliban and the international community in the country.
This international organization says that denying education of girls in Afghanistan is a clear violation of international human rights.
The international organization “Education does not wait” said in a statement on (Monday, the 18th of September) that the world should take immediate action to give Afghan girls access to education.
In the announcement of this organization, it is stated: “A total of 80% of Afghan girls of school age are currently missing out on education. 2.5 million girls are deprived of their right of education.
This organization wants the Taliban to provide education for girls above the sixth grade as soon as possible in Afghanistan.
It is stated in the announcement that this organization, in cooperation with the United Nations Special Envoy in the field of education and some other organizations defending education rights, launched a global campaign aimed at raising the voice of Afghan girls deprived of education.
Afghanistan is the only country in the world where girls are deprived of the right of education, and the Taliban did not show flexibility in this field in the past two years, despite widespread global reactions to the ban on girls’ education.
