The Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Qatar met and discussed with a number of Taliban members regarding the eradication of illegal drugs.
She said that according to the advice of experts, without the cooperation of women, we can not overcome this destroying problem. Karen Decker, the charge d’affaires of the US Embassy in Afghanistan, wrote on the X social network on (Tuesday, the 19th of September) that she spoke with a delegation of the Taliban in Doha in order to find ways to fight for the cultivation, production, smuggling and consumption of narcotics in Afghanistan.
While calling these talks effective, she added that the recommendations of Afghan experts inside and outside Afghanistan about how to help the international community and the role of Afghan women in all aspects of the fight against narcotics are valuable to her.
She emphasized that we will not succeed in this struggle without women.
Miss. Decker further stated that she is working for the long-standing wish of the Afghan people, which is to eradicate illegal drugs in Afghanistan, with the cooperation of the United Nations and international organizations
