Ireland’s foreign minister said that his country will continue to help Afghan women so that they have the right to education.
Ireland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Michael Martin said in an interview with Afghanistan International that as a teacher and a father, it is very difficult for him to see that girls cannot go to school in Afghanistan.
Mr. Martin said: “Today we had a meeting with the representatives of Malaysia, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates. They said that in Islam, not only the education of women does not conflict with religious teachings, but also Islam emphasizes the education and learning of women.
He added that his country cooperates with the international community and the countries of the region to remove the restrictions on education for Afghan women.
