The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan says that his country shares the concerns of the international community about the human rights situation in Afghanistan, especially the education and training of girls and also women’s work.
He said that interaction with the Taliban will lead to better results than coercive measures.
Jalil Abbas Jilani, Pakistan’s Interim Foreign Minister, said at the Asian Community meeting in New York that Pakistan agrees with the international community in supporting human rights, especially women’s rights in Afghanistan.
This Pakistani diplomat said that Islamabad continues to hold talks with the Taliban to remove restrictions on women in Afghanistan.
He asked the international community not to subject their aid to Afghanistan to political considerations.
These statements are made while Pakistan is accused of supporting the Taliban group in Afghanistan since the past. An issue that is always rejected by the government of this country.
