Joseph Burrell, the European Union’s foreign policy official, said in a meeting with Pakistan’s foreign minister that the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan is worrying.
The head of the European Union’s foreign policy wrote on the X social network on Friday (the 22nd of September) that he paid special attention to the situation of women in Afghanistan during his meeting with Jalil Abbas Jilani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
He wrote: “The situation of women and girls in Afghanistan is so difficult that it is not easy to bear at all.”
This meeting was held on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
