Taliban closed two craft and art centers for women in Ghazni city

September 25, 2023
A young woman was shot dead in Ghazni

Sources in Ghazni province informed about the closure of two craft and art centers
by the Taliban for women and girls in the center of this province.
Sources in Ghazni told Ravi Zan that on Monday, the 25th of September, the Taliban’s special forces closed the gates of a tailoring center and a women’s painting center in the center of the city.
It is said that the Taliban, by sealing the doors of these two craft and art training centers, told its staff that they are not allowed to open these centers until further notice.
In the last month, this is the second time that educational and professional centers have been blocked by the Taliban due to the presence of girls in these centers.
In the last two years, the Taliban banned any type of education for women and girls above the sixth grade in Afghanistan.
