World Food Program: Hunger threatens one million children and mothers

World Food Program: Hunger threatens one million children and mothers

The World Food Program said that not providing funds for food aid in Afghanistan will mean that more than one million mothers and their children will go hungry.
The World Food Program wrote on the X social network today (Tuesday, the 26th of September), that if the budget for food aid in Afghanistan is not provided, women in this country will lose their last way of rescue.
It is stated in the article that women in Afghanistan are excluded from public life every day and the opportunities to earn a living and feed their children are lost.
The World Food Program added that one million dollars is needed to help Afghanistan in the cold and difficult winter ahead.
These statements were made while the Taliban continuously and gradually banned women from all work activities that were effective in strengthening the economic base of the family since two years ago.
In the latest case of job bans for women, the Taliban closed the gates of all women’s hair salons in Afghanistan.
