Expressing concern over the destiny of Neda Parwani and her husband in Taliban custody, Amnesty International asked for their unconditional release.
Amnesty International wrote on the X social network on Tuesday (Tuesday, the 27th of September), that even though eight days passed since the arrest of Neda Parwani, her husband, and four-year-old child; there is no information about their destiny and whereabouts.
This organization emphasized creating a global interaction to make the Taliban responsible for human rights violations in Afghanistan.
Neda Parwani, one of the women’s rights activists, along with her husband and child, was arrested by the Taliban in Kabul on the 19th of September of this year.
The four-year-old child of this family was handed over to Parwani’s family two days after her arrest, and she is currently sick.
Parwani’s family also said that in the past few days, despite contacting various departments and Taliban intelligence, unfortunately, they did not give any information about the whereabouts of Neda Parwani and her husband.
Neda Parwani’s brother Wais Parwani said that they were told by the Taliban this evening that they will not be informed about the detainees for fifteen to twenty days.
The Taliban did not officially comment on this and did not explain the reason for the arrest of Neda Parwani and her family.
