In the report of the United Nations Women’s Department published on (Tuesday, the 26th of September), it is stated that the world does not have a stronger tool than recognizing gender apartheid to protect the rights of women who are seriously threatened in Afghanistan.
In this report, the international response to the violation of women’s rights in Afghanistan is described as ineffective.
This organization added that the world should consider the necessary clarity in interacting with the Taliban to restore human rights, especially the rights of women in Afghanistan.
The United Nations Women’s Department said that countries prioritize women’s rights less based on political interests.
This organization expressed concern about the increase in the interaction of countries with the Taliban, which will lead to the recognition and normalization of relations between the Taliban and the world.
Meanwhile, the UN Secretary General’s representative for Afghanistan welcomed the mediation of Islamic countries to hold the Taliban accountable in the briefing session of the Security Council of this organization.
