The US special representative for human rights and women’s rights in Afghanistan announced the global opposition to the Taliban’s approach against Afghan girls and women.
She says that most of the representatives of the countries in the meeting of the United Nations General Assembly agreed with her in this regard.
Rina Amiri, the US special representative for human rights and women’s rights in Afghanistan wrote on the X social network that the participants in the UN General Assembly pledged to maintain international coordination in support of Afghanistan and to support women and girls, both inside and outside the country. They continue outside Afghanistan.
According to Amiri, Afghan women should be invited to meetings attended by Taliban leaders to raise their voices and participate in issues related to Afghanistan.
The 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly ended a few days ago with speakers emphasizing the restoration of human rights especially women’s rights in Afghanistan.
