Human rights activists are said to be the most likely winners of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize.
The Oslo Peace Research Institute recommended Mahboubeh Siraj from Afghanistan and Narges Mohammadi from Iran to the Nobel Committee to receive this award.
Narges Mohammadi was in prison for several years and is a serious critic of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Before this, Sima Samar, the former head of the Human Rights Commission in Afghanistan, was nominated to receive this award.
