Local sources within Herat province are reporting the forcible closure of several girls’ educational centers by Taliban fighters.
According to conversations with Ravi Zan, it has been confirmed that on Tuesday, November 14th, Taliban fighters raided multiple girls’ educational centers in Herat. The fighters blocked school entrances and stamped their authority by sealing the gates.
Sources reveal that the Taliban have issued warnings to the officials of these centers, threatening detention and imprisonment in case of non-compliance with their directive.
It’s worth noting that four days prior to the raids, the Taliban had already warned the officials of impending closure if they did not comply with the specified regulations.
The stated reason for shutting down these schools is reportedly the employment of male teachers instructing female students.
