Karzai Reiterates His Call for the Taliban to Reopen Girls’ Schools

Former President Hamid Karzai welcomed the declaration of the Muslim World League conference in Islamabad, regarding the opportunities and challenges of girls’ education in the Islamic world.

Karzai once again urged the Taliban to immediately reopen schools and universities for girls. He underscored the vital role of girl’s education in the development of the country.

Karzai described girls’ education as an undeniable and fundamental right, stating that preventing it is not only contrary to the national interests but also wholly unjustifiable.
