The statement reads: “Women who were already excluded from educational institutions, universities, and public life now face complete isolation. This is not merely a technological restriction but constitutes an attack on fundamental human rights and dignity.”
The Afghan Women’s Activists Coordination Association further expressed concern for the situation of its members, emphasizing that the communication blackout has severely hindered their ability to maintain contact with one another or access critical and timely information.
This follows the Taliban’s suspension of internet services across Afghanistan since Tuesday afternoon, September 30, leaving the country without any internal connectivity for the past eighteen hours.
