Today is the first day of the year. The winter holidays have ended, and schools have started; however, I am not allowed to go to school, because schools above the sixth grade are closed to girls.
I am in the seventh grade. What sin have I committed that I am not allowed to go to school? I am not alone; there are thousands of other girls who are also not allowed to attend school. They pray day and night for schools to reopen, but even after five years, they have not reopened.
We do not lose our hope and spirit. At home, we read stories, write, and study. We attend various courses, study English, and learn painting.
We, girls deprived of education, demand our right and pray for schools to reopen.
