The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) says that nearly one in three citizens of Afghanistan does not have access to safe drinking water.
The Afghanistan office of UNICEF wrote today (Tuesday, March 24) on X that in the past Gregorian year, it provided safe drinking water to 2.1 million people in Afghanistan.
UNICEF added that much work remains to ensure that children have access to safe water.
Limited access to safe drinking water is one of the serious challenges facing citizens and is also considered a threat to their health.
