The “Women for Afghanistan” organization, in a statement, said that it has launched the second round of the dialogue titled “Towards Unity and Trust” today in London.
In the statement, published today (Tuesday, March 24), it is stated that nearly 40 individuals, including representatives of political parties, dialogue processes, representatives of civil society organizations, media representatives, and influential political and civil figures, will participate in this round of dialogue.
The “Women for Afghanistan” organization said that this dialogue is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen unity and consolidate shared principles and common values in addressing the current crisis in Afghanistan.
The statement added that this round of dialogue will focus on constructive discussions around shared visions for the future of Afghanistan, including key priorities that can shape a future worthy of its citizens.
The organization further said that on the second day of the dialogue, sessions will be organized with international partners, including diplomats, ambassadors, members of the British Parliament, as well as civil society organizations and think tanks based in the United Kingdom that are involved in Afghan affairs.
The aim of these sessions is to enhance understanding of Afghanistan’s key priorities and to facilitate dialogue between participants and Afghanistan’s international counterparts.
The “Women for Afghanistan” organization expressed hope that these discussions will help build trust, strengthen joint efforts, foster convergence, and identify shared priorities, so that a peaceful, stable, just, and inclusive future can be shaped for Afghanistan one in which women play a central and meaningful role.
The first round of the “Towards Unity and Trust” dialogue was held on October 7 last year in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
